Enthusiasm – A main component of success

How to attract enthusiastic people in your company?

This Article is about People.

About attracting the right ones into the company and letting them grow your business from the inside out.

As usual it starts with the business owner and their ability to recognize talent.

Are you a business owner?

If so, what do you do when you have a vacancy?

Do you wait for an employee to leave to start looking for a replacement?

Or do you keep your eyes wide open and snatch those with potential even if you have not yet specified any tasks for them?

We recommend you go for the second approach.

You, as a business owner, need to act with enthusiasm and appreciate every energetic person you meet along the way.

What if they have the potential to be your next best performer?

In other words, when a person comes in, filled with enthusiasm and ambition, they will quickly find a place for themselves within the organization and help it prosper. With their new and fresh perspective, they will give valuable suggestions that will not only improve the work-flow but help the business find new niches to conquer. They will simply add value to your business and empower the overall work environment.

Enthusiasm is also the remedy in tough times.

We face tough moments every week, if not every day. Challenges, difficulties, objections, troubles can be a real mess and pain in the ass sometimes. An enthusiastic person is fully aware of all these hurdles yet finds in themselves the strength to keep going. They know that what they are facing right now is only temporary and that the sun comes up after every storm. Enthusiasm will push you to get back up on your feet and keep going. It will also help you see that things are, after all, not as bad as they seem.

Enthusiasm also helps you grow in another way. It pushes you to take the risk of exploring new opportunities and new horizons you never knew of before. Enthusiasm helps you overcome all of the fears of today.

Paolo Ruggeri, the founder of Open Source Management (OSM) (the consulting company), owner of the I-Profile Analysis test, has quite a powerful message on the subject: “The fear of yesterday is the enthusiasm of today. The fear of today is the enthusiasm of tomorrow”. All that we thought painful and hard and even impossible yesterday gives us the needed adrenaline and enthusiasm to conquer today. It also helps us grow as individuals.

But how can we find these enthusiastic people? And how can we become one ourselves?

We can try to find them in the traditional way of recruiting people…By searching for them, postings ads, getting CVs and relying on the job interview session. Or … in addition to all that, we can use a tool that we have already talked about on our blog here and here.

What is the I-Profile used for?

The I-Profile analysis measures 18 characteristics:

  • Sense of organization.
  • Self-motivation, Stress.
  • Self-discipline.
  • Assertiveness.
  • Aptitude for sales.
  • Leadership.
  • Proactivity.
  • Tolerance.
  • Expansiveness.
  • Resistance to change.
  • Finance.
  • Success.
  • Principles.
  • Reliability index.
  • Inborn Leadership.
  • Assisted sales and Worker’s Index.

With its help, we can establish whether a person will perform well in one of the following jobs:

  • Management (business owners and/or managers).
  • Human resources.
  • Sales and sales support.
  • Accounting.
  • Marketing.
  • Information technology.
  • Administration and more.

We can figure out whether or not the person tested fits a manager role or a regular employee’s role.

And in regards to this article’s topic, the trait we are most interested in is the Self-motivation trait.

This characteristic measures how much the person believes in themselves and in their ability to be successful in their professional life.

If I believe in my abilities.

If I believe in myself.

I’ll dive right in and take advantage of every single opportunity that is presented to me.

If I don’t believe in them.

If I don’t believe in myself.

Then I’ll stand on the sidelines and let every opportunity pass me by.

An individual is motivated (and thus activated) because they feel they can achieve a goal.

The importance of the Self-Motivation trait:

The Self-motivation trait with its enthusiasm component is just one of the traits the I-Profile Test measures that can change the rules of the game for you in your best interest.

This feature also measures the ability an individual has to inspire others and is absolutely mandatory for those who practice independent work or occupy a leadership position.

The results vary from – 100 to + 100, in which these different ranges correspond to the ability one has of inspiring and motivating others so that they see their tasks to their end.

The output of this feature makes it easier for you to decide whether or not the person should be hired.

And the combination of the 18 traits as well as their analysis will not only change someone’s life forever but also affect the pace in which a business grows.

So what do you say, are you ready for the I-Profile?

Do you find it a useful ally in the recruitment process?
